Pandemic Flu Public Information Series – Are You Prepared?
Do you know what to expect during a flu pandemic? This presentation discusses the differences between seasonal flu and pandemic flu and explores how the virus is spread. Participants will learn the steps to take to prevent the spread of seasonal and pandemic flu. Information will also be presented on how to prepare for a flu pandemic.
Preparing for the Unexpected
Learn valuable information on how you can prepare for any type of disaster, including a terrorist attack, and respond to direction from authorities. This presentation describes what to do when disaster strikes, how to evacuate a home or office safely, how to shelter in place and understand basic care steps for an injured victim.
Senior Disaster Preparedness
This specially designed presentation provides the same information as "Disaster Preparedness” with an emphasis on the senior community. Participants can expect to learn the medical needs to consider when preparing for a disaster, as well as other useful information.
Thunderstorm and Lightning Safety
Do you know what to do in a thunderstorm? This presentation provides valuable thunderstorm and lightning safety information. This includes discussion on the different dangers of thunderstorms, warning signals that alert people to thunderstorm threats, and how to stay safe during and after a thunderstorm. Learn how to put together a disaster supply kit.
Tornado Safety
Learn what to do if a tornado occurs in your community. This presentation includes discussion on how tornadoes form, warning signals that alert people to tornado threats, and how to stay safe during and after a tornado through preparation. Learn what to do in the event of a tornado watch or warning and how to set up a Family Disaster Plan for tornadoes.
Winter Storm Safety
Are you prepared to deal with a winter storm? This presentation provides valuable winter storm safety information including what winter storms are, warning signals that alert people to winter weather threats and how to stay safe during and after a winter storm through preparation. Learn how to improve your understanding of the hazards associated with winter weather and how to put together a family disaster supply kit.
