Red Cross Assists victims of area tornadoes
The American Red Cross of Greater Kansas City is providing assistance to those affected by last night’s severe weather. While some Red Cross workers assess the storm damage, other Red Cross teams are onsite providing food, water, and clothing. Additional assistance will be provided as needed. Family services caseworkers have been dispatched to N.E. 109th & N. Donnelly Ave.

A Red Cross shelter is opening at 10:30 a.m. in Gladstone, Mo. at the Antioch Bible Baptist Church, 800 N.E. 72nd St. At the shelter residents will be provided with a safe place to stay, as well as meals, snacks, and water. The shelter will remain open at least through tonight, and will remain open as the need continues.
