Act SMART

Help young people make a difference. Act SMART is designed for youth ages 6 to 17. The program is tailored for three different age groups.
The Act SMART program will:
  • increase knowledge about transmission and prevention of HIV and AIDS,
  • educate youth to identify and avoid risky behavior,
  • help young people develop the skills needed to practice and maintain healthy behaviors that can reduce their risk of contracting HIV,
  • increase participants' level of comfort and compassion when interacting with people living with HIV or AIDS.
