Act SMART
Help young people make a difference. Act SMART is designed for youth ages 6 to 17. The program is tailored for three different age groups.
The Act SMART program will:
increase knowledge about transmission and prevention of HIV and AIDS,
educate youth to identify and avoid risky behavior,
help young people develop the skills needed to practice and maintain healthy behaviors that can reduce their risk of contracting HIV,
increase participants' level of comfort and compassion when interacting with people living with HIV or AIDS.
