Standard First Aid with CPR/AED - Adult
This class gives individuals in the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses. This includes using an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, until advanced medical personnel arrive. This training meets all OSHA requirements for Adult CPR and First Aid. Participants will learn how to:
  • Recognize and handle emergencies
  • Check scene for safety and victim for consciousness
  • Move injured person from dangerous scene
  • Contact Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
  • Apply basic precautions to reduce risk of disease transmission
  • Prioritize care for life-threatening conditions
  • Care for choking
  • Care for someone who is not breathing
  • Recognize the signals of heart attack and how to care for a heart attack victim
  • Use of an AED and how to give CPR to an adult
  • Care for bleeding, burns, sudden illness, heat and cold emergencies and muscle, bone, joint, head, neck and back injuries.

Fee(s):

Full class: 6 hours, $45
Adult CPR with AED only: 4.5 hours, $30
