Lay Responder First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course
During this class, you'll practice teaching a portion of the course. In order to successfully complete your instructor class, you must practice and demonstrate teaching skills and pass a written exam with a score of 80% or better. All certificates are valid for two calendar years. Student must be 17 years of age by end of instructor class.
This class will certify instructor candidates to teach the
Adult, Infant and Child CPR, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
It will also certify the instructor candidate to teach injury prevention modules including Ergonomics, Back Injury Prevention, Workplace Violence Awareness, Slips, Trips, and Falls, Managing Stress and Your Heart Matters. Bloodborne Pathogens and Sport Safety Training Instructor classes will be held immediately following this instructor class for those who are authorized as First Aid/CPR/AED Instructors and wish to attend.
Note: Register early! There is a maximum of 12 Instructor Candidates admitted per class. Instructor textbooks are provided. Please purchase the student texts from the American Red Cross Distribution Office.

24 hours: $150.00 ($160.00 with Sport Safety Training)
