Community Disaster Education Opportunities

One goal of the Red Cross is to teach people how to prepare for disasters at home and keep their families our of harm's way. As a Community Disaster Education volunteer you will present fire, tornado, flood, storm and other safety tips to school children, civic and citizen groups. You might also find yourself distributing educational materials to neighborhoods following a fire to further help others prevent and prepare for a disaster.
