Special Events & Projects

Do you have great organizational skills and the ability to see a project through from beginning to end? The Red Cross plans several special events, small and large, throughout the year and extra help is always needed and appreciated. Put your special talents to work at:
CAUSE FOR ALARM
  • This is a great opportunity to make a difference! Provide free smoke alarms, batteries and fire prevention literature to area resident's during Community Disaster Education canvassing campaign. Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather as they are walking long distances on community streets and up stairs. Groups welcomed.

    Age Limit: 17 years (16 years if accompanied by parent or legal guardian).

    This event is scheduled one Saturday per month from March thru October from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Call 816-841-5232 for specific dates.
